The opportunity to be heard...
One of the highlights of working in education, at any level, is having the opportunity to connect with fellow educators from around the world. I am passionate about the impact that blended learning can have on education as a whole, utilizing the infinite amount of resources we have available to us at our fingertips, but I am always looking for feedback from my peers. Throughout EDLD 5317, I was able to work closely with my group and provide both feedback and feedforward. This process allowed me revisit my own thinking at time, while also viewing my potential publication through a different lens.

Publication Outline
As educators we are often overwhelmed with ideas as we are actively teaching our lessons, consistently critiquing ourselves and thinking of ways we can improve said lesson in the future, but it is always a challenge to put this new things into action with the whirlwind of the school year ongoing. My publication outline provides a framework for all things related to the transition from direct instruction to blended instruction, particularly in the mathematics classroom.
Publication Proposal
Submitted an article for publication was a bit outside of my comfort zone, however, when writing about something I am passionate about I did feel a bit more comfortable taking the plunge. Edutopia is a safe place for educators to voice their opinions and be heard in more of an informal setting in comparison to most. My passion for blended learning and the need to keep up with the times in education steered me to share my beliefs on where I think the classroom to turn to to ensure we are putting each of our students in the best position to succeed in whatever field they choose to go in to.
