Influencer Strategy
Result (Goal):
My fellow Algebra 1 teachers will teach 25% of the 2023 school year in a blended learning setting. Additional timelines will be set for expanding blended learning to my whole mathematics department following the 2023 school year.

Vital Behaviors:
-
To set up a blended learning environment.
-
To create a blended learning unit within the Algebra 1 curriculum.
-
Teachers will share their work and hold one another accountable.
Measuring Results/Vital Behaviors:
Open communication and feedback from Algebra 1 teachers will show if/how they built and implemented blended learning into their classroom. Results will also be measured based on student success rates in comparison to past years as well as anecdotal feedback from students.
Targets and Organizational Influencers:
I am targeting the mathematics department at my high school. My organizational influencers will start with my fellow Algebra 1 teachers (2 others besides myself). We all teach 9th grade and work very closely together, so if we can get on the same page then we can begin transitioning this to future mathematics classrooms outside of Algebra 1. The staff developers at my school will also be positive influencers as they are there to support new initiatives such as this, they also work closely with our Director of Curriculum, who I may consider a negatives influencer as she seems to be focused on standardizing our courses more so than ever. I work with a very close-knit department who is typically receptive to trying new things.
