While I would like to think I try many new things in my classroom that enhance the learning of my students, as Anna mentioned in her post, I do not think I have implemented projects that can be used outside of the classroom. I do that think many of the projects develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which is certainly meaningful. Additionally, I tailor my lessons to students’ interest and incorporate authentic experience within my classroom when possible.

When watching John Kotter's video on communication I couldn't help but think of the communication in my district. The communication with get from administration is both frequent and infrequent. At times we will get emails that we are expected to refer back to over a several week stretch, but we will also get some emails on a daily basis that often contradict those we received prior. With four administrators sending out information, although I believe the intentions are good, frankly get confusing. I think this relates to Kotter’s warning against varying forms of communication, consistency is key at times.
